Elder abuse affects people age 65 and older or dependent adults and includes abuse, neglect, financial abuse, abandonment, isolation, abduction, or treatment resulting in physical harm or pain or mental suffering.  Elder abuse also includes being deprived of goods or services that are necessary to avoid physical harm or mental suffering.
