We assist clients with obtaining Restraining Orders.
There are different types of restraining orders and may either prohibit family violence or prevent the loss of property.
Please click on the Domestic Violence link in the side column for restraining orders dealing with family violence.
Restraining Orders are put in place when a divorce or separation if filed to prevent both spouses from cashing, liquidating, transferring, selling, borrowing against, encumbering, concealing or disposing of separate property, community property or quasi-community property, including insurance, personal property, and real property.
These Restraining Orders also prevent a parent from removing minor children from the state without the prior written consent of the other parent or court order.
